Privacy Policy for Vaylo Fitness
1. Information We Collect
When you use Vaylo Fitness, we may collect the following information:
Account Information
- Name
- Email address
- Profile photo, if provided through Google Sign-In
- Login and authentication information
Fitness and App Information
- Fitness goals
- Workout preferences
- Workout plans
- Scheduled workout sessions
- Progress or activity information you enter into the app
Mobile and Messaging Information
If you choose to use Calls & Texts features, we may collect your mobile phone number, phone verification status, coaching call preferences, coaching text preferences, messaging consent status, opt-in and opt-out status, and SMS or call activity related to Vaylo Fitness.
Google Account Information
If you choose to sign in with Google, Vaylo may access basic Google account information, including your name, email address, and profile picture.
If you choose to connect Google Calendar, Vaylo may request access to your Google Calendar events so that you can create, view, update, and delete workout-related calendar events through the app.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Create and manage your Vaylo account
- Personalize your fitness experience
- Generate workout recommendations and fitness plans
- Send coaching texts, reminders, account support replies, and related messages only when you have opted in to coaching texts
- Place coaching calls only when you have opted in to coaching calls
- Allow you to schedule workouts
- Create, update, view, or delete workout events on your Google Calendar when you choose to use calendar features
- Improve app functionality, performance, and user experience
- Provide support and respond to user requests
3. Google Calendar Data Usage
Vaylo only uses Google Calendar access to support user-facing calendar features inside the app.
If you connect Google Calendar, Vaylo may use Calendar access to:
- Create workout events selected by you
- View workout events created or managed through Vaylo
- Update scheduled workout events
- Delete workout events when you choose to remove or cancel them
Vaylo does not use Google Calendar data for advertising. Vaylo does not sell Google user data. Vaylo does not use Google user data to train generalized AI or machine learning models.
Vaylo's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
4. How We Store and Protect Information
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure.
However, no method of electronic storage or transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information.
We do not share, sell, rent, or otherwise provide your mobile phone number, SMS opt-in data, SMS opt-out data, or messaging consent information to any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
We may share information only in the following cases:
- With service providers that help us operate the app and deliver user-requested services, such as authentication, hosting, analytics, phone verification, calls, and SMS messaging. These providers may use the information only to provide services to Vaylo and not for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
- When required by law, regulation, legal process, or government request
- To protect the rights, safety, or security of Vaylo, our users, or others
- With your consent
6. SMS Messaging Program
Users opt in to coaching texts inside the Vaylo Fitness iOS app by opening Settings > Calls & Texts, entering a mobile phone number, completing SMS verification, and turning on Allow coaching texts. Users give SMS consent directly to Vaylo Fitness, a product of Hiba & Harry Ventures LLC. Vaylo does not purchase, rent, or import opt-in consent from third parties.
Opted-in users may receive conversational coaching messages, workout and meal check-ins, progress reminders, reminder-style coaching messages, and account support replies. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
Users may turn off coaching texts in the app at any time or reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe. Users may reply HELP for help. More information about SMS consent is available on our SMS Consent page.
7. Data Retention
We retain your information only as long as necessary to provide the app, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
You may request deletion of your account or data by contacting us.
8. User Control and Data Deletion
You may disconnect Google Calendar access at any time through your Google Account permissions page.
You may also request that we delete your Vaylo account and associated data by contacting us at hibaaltaf@vaylofitness.com or harryguo@vaylofitness.com.
9. Children's Privacy
Vaylo Fitness is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and may notify users through the app or other appropriate means.
